BECOFFI GALERIE has opened its doors in the rotunda of Galerie Ravenstein in Brussels, at the heart of a district where art speaks in many ways.

The artistic approach of BECOFFI GALERIE rests on a selection of leading artists with a personal and universal reading of the world and of outstanding craftsmanship, in dialogue with cultures and ancient narratives, bringing territories and the people who live in them into resonance.

A committed gallery

BECOFFI GALERIE supports

An art that brings people together

Born of encounters and of a dialogue between cultural identities

A contemporary vision

Of the expression of techniques and of the stories carried by oral tradition

A place of transmission

And of preservation of outstanding craftsmanship
We believe in outstanding craftsmanship rooted in local contexts, where each gesture becomes a story of transmission and a creative dialogue between Europe, Africa and Asia.
The founder

Who is Coffi?

Dear visitors, art lovers, collectors, decision-makers and collection managers,

BECOFFI GALERIE is the outcome of an unusual, multicultural personal and professional path, not least because of my four nationalities: Belgian, French, Brazilian and Togolese. Trained as a civil engineer, I first worked in France on the safety of energy installations, before realising that this was not my calling.

I then settled in Belgium some fifteen years ago and began a career in the preservation of the architectural heritage of Brussels. One thing led to another and, attending many cultural events connected with my work, art and outstanding craftsmanship became vital to me. Having also built up many contacts with Africa, where I lived as a child, a multicultural project began to take shape in my mind.

In 2026 I decided to take the plunge and open a gallery that would be a creative and deeply human link between Europe, Africa and Asia. A link, too, between companies and artists, and indirectly with the artisans whose outstanding knowledge may well disappear if we are not careful.

So this is not only about making artists known and selling works, but also about building an ecosystem that creates bridges and funds artistic production through patronage.

Meeting Louis Barthélemy, a recognised French artist, and the friendship that followed, contributed greatly to making this project real. I thank him sincerely for agreeing to be the first artist shown at BECOFFI GALERIE.

I look forward to meeting each and every one of you,

Coffi Barboza, founder of BECOFFI GALERIE
