Two brothers standing side by side on a beach, one in terracotta, the other in ecru, under a pale blue sky. A pause in the Khayamiya series: no hold and no bout, but two bodies at rest and the brotherhood that Senegalese wrestling cultivates as much as confrontation. The piece uses the same technique as the other five: West African bazins hand-applied and embroidered onto cotton canvas by the master craftsmen of khayamiya in Cairo.
