Throw and Thrive

Technique
Plaster fresco inlaid with coloured glass
Dimensions
Height 83 cm

Upon request

A thrower in full effort, between two palm trees, in a triangular panel pointing upwards, beneath a shower of slanting lines. Blue and green glass drops are inlaid in the sky and in the chequered ground. A plaster fresco made by Louis Barthélemy with a Moroccan master craftsman: the throwing gesture, isolated and enlarged, becomes a heroic figure.
