Woven rattan bust, honey-coloured, with raffia rosettes sewn onto the torso and a tasselled cord, set on a fawn base. The lightest of the three Rattan Bodies, where the weave gives the body its mass and the raffia embroidery draws its adornment. Each bust is made by Louis Barthélemy with a cooperative of women artisans in Morocco: everyday basketry that embroidery raises to sculpture.
